Dragon Shouts use the vocalization of specific words of power to create powerful magical effects. Mortals are only able to learn and use the Thu’um through a long process of meditation and the practice of the words, but rare individuals who are known as Dragonborn are able to intuitively learn Shouts.

The Dragon Shout Crystal will hold a charge for some time after being left in the light for a few minutes. It gets more powerful if charged with real sunlight, but normal house lighting will allow it to charge as well. Keep in mind that since this is Pure Energy, it gets weaker over time and, after the initial high glow period, it will settle to a duller glow that can be seen for some time but only in total darkness.
