“As Link progresses through the games, he will require more and more health in order to survive the greater challenges. Depending on the game, Link must collect either Pieces of Heart or full Heart Containers to increase his maximum health.”
– Zelda Wiki
In many games, a Heart Container can be built manually by collecting four Pieces of Heart. These are scattered throughout the world, and can be found in treasure chests, won in mini-games, or given as thanks for helping someone. Obtaining a Piece of Heart will immediately refill all of Link’s health, regardless of whether or not that Piece of Heart is completing a Heart Container.
The Piece of Heart will hold a charge for some time after being left in the light for a few minutes. It gets more powerful if charged with real sunlight, but normal house lighting will allow it to charge as well. Keep in mind that it gets weaker over time and, after the initial high glow period it will settle to a duller glow that can be seen for some time but only in total darkness.
IMPORTANT
This colored glowing material does not have a durable high glow period, but it will glow with a duller glow for a long time in total darkness. Unlike daylight white colored glowing material, it glows while a blacklight is turned on, and glows in the dark when the light is turned off (blacklight is usually used in bars, night clubs, parties, raves, etc.)
This Listing includes a UV blacklight keychain which allows you to charge your Piece of Heart anywhere you go.
The Heart is red under daylight and glow red/orange in the darkness.
